I'm ready for it and I say bring it on....
I have everything ready for the class this evening. Name tags are printed and ready to go. Extra information for the class it typed and ready to be handed to the girls I'm teaching. So I think that tonight I wont have to turn up half hour early...LOL

I taught my first class at my LSS...(local scrap store). My class started at 7 but I just could help my self and turned up half hour before....LOL ....I'm glad I did. I needed to do name tags for everyone as being new to the class side of the store, I wasn't to sure on everyones names and they weren't to sure of mine. Plus I need to get the supplies out for the layout I was teaching.
The first person turned up and I could feel my nerves raising....but I maintained to keep myself leveled just. Then the second person turned up and my nerves got worse.....I think that also helping this lovely lady pick out her pp (patterned paper) for her photo's was nerve racking....I so wanted to make the right choices for her and also get her decisions as well.
Well we started the class and Heather behind the counter call me up and said that there other girls that book in for the class weren't going to make it as they were told the wrong date. There was nothing I could do about that....other then come back in to teach my layout again....Which I will be doing this Monday coming....
I found it a pleasure to teach the two lovely ladies I had for my first class, and I was quite great full that my first class only consisted of two.....So next Monday I should be teaching 5 and there could be more because the class is still open to another five people.
When the ladies were ready to leave they both said that the class was extremely interesting and were very great full on the technique I taught.
So that wraps up my info on my first class.....Lets see how I'm felling for the next one...LOL

I have taught before, I taught and Adult Education class about Visual Merchandising. That was many year ago when I work for Myers as a part of there Visual Merchandising team.
It's funny that when I have a large event in my life I alway get this feeling of nerves. Its only natural to feel apprehension in something new that happen in life.
But I have confidants in myself that the class will go fine and I will have the wonderful staff there for help and guidance if needed. I have done all the prep for the class I can do. Now its up to the other scrapper that I'm teaching to archive a layout that they are pleased with, with a guiding hand from me.
At the end of this class I should have a fair idea of what I need to do to teach another class and things will just get easier as it goes. I hope that the girls at the store really like the way I teach my class and want me to teach more.....but mmm I've already been booked into teach another class and I haven't taught the first.... Does that show that they have confidants in me already...they must do....LOL
I feel proud that the think my work is worth teaching. I mean what more can I ask for, I'm teaching something I love doing. So with excitement I really look forward to this experience, and this chance to pass on my knowledge of this amazing craft.

The Challenge is call "Praise Yourself" in which we were to write ten things about what makes us the person we are today. After placing this layout together I wasn't sure were to place my journaling. So I opted to put my age on it so that in time gone by while I'm looking through our album I can reflect on this time in my life.
This is the first time I have used a zipper on a layout. I have seen them on other layouts and thought that this layout would look quite good with one.
With the design of this layout I was trying to create a rustic feel to it. Using the brown and the greens seem to be quite a good match for this photo.
I'm still participating in this challenge and will be doing another photo of myself for the challenge.
But I suppose that is better then being laid up for another week.
Sitting around for a week was killing me. I really started getting cabin fever on Tuesday. I couldn't help myself I had to get out of the house. So I thought it would be a great idea to go out with Lance to the kids soccer training which was fine, I only had to sit around for an hour and a half....But after that we decide to go grocery shopping. Well that wasn't a good idea, I made it up two aisle of the supermarket and said to Lance and the kids that "I just couldn't do this on crutches", so I decided to sit in the car. I really think at times being on crutches was worse then having a bung ankle..LOL
Well Lance has had the whole week off looking after me and I have been very great full. He has taken the kids to school every morning and also picked them up. He's done the soccer training thing. He has also done all the cooking and cleaning of the house. I think with me not really being able to get around has really open his eye's to what I do every week and what goes into running this mad house of ours....LOL
My bruising is starting to turn yellow now, which is such a great sign that its healing.....Oh and the itching feeling I keep getting....Is driving me insane...LOL

Well my mothers day started off with a lovely sleep-in I didn't get up till 10.45 this morning. I also spent the day on the lounge lounging....hehehe
For mothers day I got some duel tip pens for my scrapping....I'm really pleased with them. I've been itching to use them. But being laid up with my ankle I've just been sitting around.. I'm thinking tonight of getting into my scrap room and doing some scrapping so hopefully I'll be able to use them.
The kids all made me beautiful handmade card and I think that they are the best gifts every. They mean the most to me....knowing that my children made these for me and put all there creativity and love into them.
I've enjoy my mothers day this year. Spending time with my children watching movies and just chill'n makes mothers day the best thing in the world.....I'm so glad that I'm a mother!!! :D
I've just done the tendons and ligaments ......So I'm off my foot for 4-5 days and having to use crutches. I'm hoping by then end of the week to be able to walk on in tentatively. The doctor has said that there is no more netball for the rest of the season, and when I do go back to netball I have to strap my ankle.
So does this mean I have more time on my hands for my scrapping......I suppose it does...LOL
I haven't done any this weekend. All I have done is sit on the lounge and be waited on hand and foot....hehehe foot how appropriate....LOL
Sitting around is killing me!! I'm not the type of person to just sit around. With 4 children there is alway something to do. Right now I'm feeling very grateful to Lance and Gary, they have help so much doing all the house work and tending to the kids needs.....Its funny not until I hurt myself have the guys realised how much stuff I do of a day....LOL
Well its off to do some more lounging around....Might even hobble into my scraproom and do some scrapping....hehehe
Thursday, 10 May 2007
This is all I need when I have my first class to teach in a weeks time....Wont that be great teaching on crutches.....LOL
So I know that the rest of my netball season is over now, even if my ankle is just badly sprained...(Which I'm hoping that all it is fingers crossed).
I really enjoy playing netball even though sometimes it's hard to get motived into going....... That because its winter here and playing outside in the cold nights is not the nicest thing to be doing, when you know that at home the wood fire is burning and keeping everyone warm except me....LOL

I have already done this tag on Scrapbook.com
So I though since Maree has tagged me on her blog that I would paste my answers here to.
Now for the tag!
so these are the rules...Each player starts with 7 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to blog about their seven things and post the rules as well . At the end of your blog, you need to choose 7 people to get tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them that they have been tagged and to read your blog!
Ok now for my 7 things:
1. I'm definitely addicted to scrapbooking .
2. And I'm addicted to SB!!!! I check there every day.....hehehe
3. I live on my computer.....if I'm not here I'm at other scrapping sites.
4. No one is aloud to touch my scrap desk.....if they need something I have to be the one to get it.
5. I love my LSS. I'm in it every week even twice a week.
6. I do all the out side work here at home.....Hubby works most weekend so I do it. I really don't mind, because when the lawn mower is going, I can't hear my children arguing... .....hehehehe
7. I'm also a stickler for being on time. If I have to be any where on time I'd rather be early, it hard at times because my DH is not like that and it drives me mental.....I'm always getting the kids and hubby ready before time, so I know that we will never be late....LOL
I'm suppose to tag 7 other people with is tag, but as I have already done this on SB. I won't be tagging anyone else.......Lucky ha!!!!......LOL
Alli email me a photo of her beautiful DD and I scrapped it for her. I was very nervous as this was the first time, I have scrap a photo for someone else. I really wanted to create something that she would love and would like to have in her daughters album.
A friend of mine edited the photo in Adobe photo shop, and I was quite please with it. Alli's DD has the most amazing blue eyes I've ever seen, so when the photo was edited the eyes become the focus.
The layout was a pleasure to do and fun to create.
All the blue gems on this layout were sticky and while peeling them off the sheet they come off, they went every where. That evening after creating the layout I was getting undress for bed and found one of the gem in my belly button.....What the!!!!!.....LOL
I so hope you like this layout Allison, and I hope that your DD does too!!
These hand made papers and embellishments were made by Maree on SB.
On the Aussie forum on Scrapbook.com, we had a challenge set for us were we had to make our own pp and 3 embellishments. Then after everyone had made them we swapped our designs with each other. I was very luck to receive Maree's pp and embellies. I couldn't believe when I saw them how perfect the were for a photo of Sarah that I had.
Thanks Maree, we make a great team. :D
These are the PP and embellishments that I made.
I stamped the 12 x 12 coloured paper with the Making Memories Ding Bat stamp set. I also run the two sheets of handmade paper through the printer and printed script print over them. The flower were coloured with coffee and then stamped with a scripted stamp and the book plate was cut form chipboard. My pp and embellishments were sent to Steph on SB......I'm so itching to see what she has done with them. :D
My kids are back to playing soccer for the winter.......BRRRR. Lets say that standing on the side of a frozen soccer field on Saturday morning is something that is sure to wake you up....LOL
This year the kids are training twice a week and Shannon has games on Wednesday and Friday nights. So with all that happening and Shannon's band practice, I really have been busy every afternoon then by the time, night comes all I want to do is crawl into bed or scrap. :D
I have been busy scrapping some new layout to since my last entry. I will post some photo's soon.
